The tandem of LeBron James and Anthony Davis played a huge role in the Los Angeles Lakers’ dominant 128-111 road win over the Toronto Raptors Tuesday night. The Lakers are hoping that James and Davis have enough left in the tank to come up with an excellent collective performance again on short rest, as Los Angeles finishes a six-game road trip this Wednesday night versus the Washington Wizards.
Will LeBron James & Anthony Davis Play in Los Angeles Lakers vs Washington Wizards?
Lakers head coach Darvin Ham indicated that James and Davis will suit up and play against the Wizards following the Raptors game.
“We’ll see how they feel when they wake up in the morning but, in all likelihood, I’m sure they’ll play,” Ham stated, per the Associated Press (via ESPN).
Against the Raptors, James gave Toronto fans flashbacks, as he finished with 23 points on an incredibly efficient 10/12 shooting from the floor while also racking up nine assists and four rebounds, Davis, on the other hand, had 21 point and 12 boards in just his first game in Toronto since 2018 when he was still wearing New Orleans Pelicans threads.
The Lakers are 4.5 games inside the Play-in Tournament picture with a 43-33 record, but they’re still not out of the woods. They are also looking to add more wins with their hopes to make the top six in the Western Conference standings still alive.
