Chelsea fans have spotted a hilarious message a team-mate wrote on Cole Palmer’s hat-trick ball.
Palmer continued his incredible debut season at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night by sinking Manchester United, the club he supported as a youngster. The 21-year-old put Chelsea 2-0 up in the first half from the penalty spot, but his heroics were needed again by Mauricio Pochettino after the Blues threw away their commanding lead.
A shocking error from Moises Caicedo gifted United a route back into the game when he inexplicably played Alejandro Garnacho through on goal, who took advantage to half the deficit. Bruno Fernandes then headed United level in the first half before Garnacho nodded the visitors ahead in the second half.
But as he’s so often done this season, Palmer saved the day for Chelsea as he held his nerve from the spot to equalise in the 110th minute before smashing home a deflected winner a minute later to somehow steal the Blues all three points.
Following his treble, the England international took home the match ball and had his team-mates sign either their signature or a congratulatory message.
However, eagle eyed fans spotted one of the Blues players wrote “s*** player” on the ball, which Palmer held with the writing upside down in his post-match snaps he posted on social media.
