Thierry Henry couldn’t believe what he saw from Man City-owned player last night

Thierry Henry has been left baffled by one thing he saw one Manchester City-owned player do on the pitch last night.

The first two second-leg quarter-final games in this season’s Champions League took place last night, with Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain sealing their spots in the semis.

After last night’s games ended, one pundit and former Premier League star couldn’t hide his astonishment at one thing he noticed from one particular player, who many City fans will know about, during one of the matches.

Henry baffled by Man City-owned player’s actions

Speaking on CBS Sports after Tuesday’s second-leg quarter-final Champions League games, Henry had this to say about the challenge from Joao Cancelo during Barcelona’s 4-1 defeat to PSG that gave the French side a penalty.

He said: “This is the one I don’t understand. Why are you tackling? Why are you losing your head? I do not understand. Moments. Why are you losing your composure?”

With the aggregate score at 3-2 from the first leg, Barcelona went 1-0 up in the 12th minute, only for Ronald Araujo to be sent off with 29 minutes on the clock.

In the second half, with the score at 2-1 to PSG, Cancelo gave a penalty away after taking Ousmane Dembele down on the edge of the box with a lunging challenge.

Kylian Mbappe then scored the penalty before finding the back of the net once again in the 89th minute to dump Xavi’s side out of the Champions League with an aggregate score of 6-4 to PSG.

It wasn’t a good night for Joao Cancelo
During the previous summer transfer window, after he returned from a loan spell at Bayern Munich, the full-back was loaned out again, this time to Barcelona where he is spending the season.

Since joining the Spanish club, Cancelo has made 35 appearances across La Liga and the Champions League, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

Even though he’s been a fairly regular figure for Barcelona during his time there, it’s clear that it was not a great night for him or the team against PSG.

In terms of what the future could hold for Cancelo once his loan spell at Barcelona comes to an end, we feel that this is definitely something that will be worth keeping an eye on when the summer transfer window opens.
