Eli Manning, a former NFL quarterback, thinks Bryce Young, the quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, will benefit from having a tough first year in the NFL. Manning said that during a player’s first year, they’re just trying to figure things out and follow instructions. He believes Young will improve now that the Panthers have made changes to help him, like hiring a new coach and getting new players.
Drew Brees, another former NFL quarterback, agrees with Manning. He thinks Young has a lot of potential and will get better with time and experience. Brees said it takes at least 50 good starts for a quarterback to reach their full potential.
Manning also praised Young’s abilities, saying he’s athletic, throws the ball well, and sees the field clearly. He thinks the Panthers will try to help Young by giving him plays he’s comfortable with and protecting him from tough situations.
The Panthers’ owner, David Tepper, still believes in Young, even though the team’s current leaders didn’t draft him. They’ll likely give Young plenty of chances to prove himself before making any long-term decisions about his future with the team.
