Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has announced that Deshaun Watson will be the starting quarterback for Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars ¹. This decision comes after a disappointing performance in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, where Watson completed 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards and two interceptions ¹. Despite this, Stefanski is giving Watson another chance to prove himself.

Watson has a history of success against the Jaguars, with a 6-0 record and 10 touchdowns in their previous encounters ². However, the Jaguars are not a team to be underestimated, with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball ². Watson will need to step up his game if the Browns are to avoid an 0-2 start to the season.

The Browns are also dealing with injuries to key players, including Myles Garrett and Za’Darius Smith, who both returned to practice on Friday ³. The team’s offensive line is also struggling, with Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin both ruled out for Sunday’s game ⁴. Despite these challenges, Stefanski is confident in his team’s ability to bounce back from their Week 1 loss.

In other news, Joe Flacco is not an option for the Browns this season, as he was only a temporary solution last season when Watson suffered a season-ending injury ⁵. The focus is now on Watson and his ability to lead the team to victory.

The Browns’ Week 2 matchup against the Jaguars is crucial, as they look to avoid an 0-2 start to the season. With Watson at the helm, the team is hoping to turn their fortunes around and get their first win of the season. Will Watson be able to deliver, or will the Browns struggle again? Only time will tell.

The game against the Jaguars will be a tough test for the Browns, but with Watson’s history of success against them, there is hope for a turnaround ². The team’s injuries and offensive line struggles will need to be addressed, but for now, the focus is on getting the win. Can the Browns bounce back from their Week 1 loss, or will they fall to 0-2? The answer will be revealed on Sunday.
