A potential trade target is Houston Texans’ running back Dameon Pierce. As the Texans’ backup behind Joe Mixon, Pierce has shown flashes of talent but lacks consistency. In 28 games, he has 1,371 rushing yards, six touchdowns, and 43 receptions for 266 yards.
At just 24 years old, Pierce could benefit from a change of scenery. Acquiring him wouldn’t break the bank, with a fifth- or sixth-round pick likely sufficient. Pierce would provide the Browns with another option to support the running game until Nick Chubb returns.
While Deshaun Watson’s improvement remains uncertain, the running game must carry the load. Pierce’s addition could bolster the offense alongside Jerome Ford.
