Cowboys pass-rusher calls out team for playing ‘little league football’ vs. Ravens

The Dallas Cowboys’ 28-25 Week 3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens exposed some major red flags for the team. Despite outscoring the Ravens 19-0 in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys’ initial 28-6 deficit highlighted significant issues, dropping them to 1-2 on the season. Veteran pass-rusher DeMarcus Lawrence didn’t hold back, calling out the team’s effort, saying they played “little league football”.

Lawrence emphasized that the problem isn’t with the team’s talent, but rather with execution, stating, “We’ve got the guys to do it… It’s just all about f—ing doing it. We’ll get it done.” He also added, “Once we get out of playing little league football and get back to playing pro football, we’ll be alright”.

The Cowboys’ passing game did pick up late, with Dak Prescott throwing for 379 yards and two touchdowns. However, the lack of production in the run game and Baltimore’s strong start were major concerns. The Ravens jumped out to a 14-3 first-quarter lead, and the Cowboys’ rushing leaders, Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliott, and Deuce Vaughn, combined for a mere 43 yards.

This loss marks the Cowboys’ second consecutive home defeat, a stark contrast to their unbeaten home record in the regular season last year. The team’s lack of offseason activity and failure to address areas of need have become glaring issues through three games.
