Mikaela Shiffrin, the most decorated alpine skier in World Cup history, is redefining her legacy off the snow with the launch of a new personal brand logo and her first-ever podcast, “What’s the Point with Mikaela Shiffrin.” The dual announcements come as the three-time Olympic medalist prepares for a potential fourth Winter Games in Milan Cortina, 100 days away.
The podcast’s premiere episode drops October 29, with Stifel serving as presenting sponsor. Planned as a bi-weekly series, the inaugural season will feature 8 to 10 episodes exploring the deeper motivations behind high performance—not just in skiing, but across disciplines and life pursuits.
“I’m really interested to learn from other people about various perspectives of why they do what they do, why they love what they love, and what values you can have in the scope of all the different passions you might be able to have,” Shiffrin told Sports Business Journal.
The project traces its roots to a transformative period following the death of her father, Jeff Shiffrin, in 2020. During that time, the athlete grappled with profound apathy toward both competition and daily life. As she rebuilt her emotional foundation and rediscovered her fire for racing, Shiffrin became fascinated by the internal forces that propel people forward—whether elite athletes, physical therapists, or even late-night host Stephen Colbert, whom she named as a dream guest.
Complementing the podcast is Shiffrin’s newly unveiled personal logo, a collaboration between design firm Wunder Werkz and creative agency Skylark. The emblem encapsulates core principles that have defined her career: balance, clarity, and resilience.
“I think I’ve wanted a logo for a long time,” Shiffrin said. “I’m closer to the end of my ski racing career than I am at the beginning, and it’s a pretty cool chance to kind of wrap up so many of my values… into a package that hopefully delivers visually these things that are important to me.”
With over 100 World Cup victories and a sponsorship portfolio that includes Adidas, Atomic, Longines, Oakley, United Airlines, and Visa, Shiffrin remains one of Team USA’s most bankable stars. The unified branding initiative signals a strategic, merchandise, and media ventures under a single, cohesive identity.
As she approaches what could be her final Olympic cycle, Shiffrin is not merely extending her competitive dominance—she’s building a platform that transcends the finish line. The podcast and logo together represent a deliberate step toward a multifaceted post-racing future, one rooted in storytelling, authenticity, and shared human drive.
“What’s the Point with Mikaela Shiffrin” will be available on all major podcast platforms starting October 29.
