Mikaela Shiffrin claimed her 102nd FIS Alpine Ski World Cup victory in style on Saturday, securing a record-extending ninth slalom win in Levi and her ninth ceremonial reindeer. The American superstar dominated the Arctic classic, winning by a commanding 1.66 seconds in front of a roaring crowd under crisp polar skies.

Shiffrin posted the fastest times in both runs on the unforgiving Levi Black piste, finishing in a combined 1:47.32. Her victory marks the 60th slalom win of her career and further cements Levi as her personal playground.

“Win 102, reindeer number nine — it doesn’t get much better than this,” Shiffrin said, smiling as she accepted the traditional antlered prize. “The snow was fast, the course was technical, and the energy here is always electric. I’m just grateful to ski like this.”

    American Fire: Moltzan’s Stunning Comeback

Paula Moltzan delivered the run of the day in the second leg, rocketing from 15th after run one to finish 4th overall (+2.67) — just 0.08 seconds off the podium. The Stifel U.S. Ski Team veteran unleashed a fearless, high-line attack that had commentators and fans on their feet.

“Paula was on fire,” Shiffrin said of her teammate. “That second run was pure aggression and heart. She reminded everyone what American skiing is about.”

Moltzan, known for her resilience, fought through a conservative first run to deliver one of the fastest second-run times in the field.
