Vonn: “Loving Where Things Stand” After Crushing Colorado Camp – Olympic Fire Burns Bright

Skiing icon Lindsey Vonn has wrapped up another intensive training block in Colorado with flying colors, declaring herself highly satisfied with her progress as the 2025-26 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup season heats up and the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics loom just weeks away.

The 41-year-old American legend, fresh off a remarkable comeback season that saw her reclaim podium spots and secure her spot on the U.S. Olympic team, posted an upbeat update following the camp: “Another strong training camp in Colorado ✔️ Putting in the work and loving where things stand.”

Vonn, who recently qualified for her fifth and final Olympics after a string of impressive World Cup results—including a historic downhill victory—has been focusing on speed disciplines at high-altitude venues like Copper Mountain and Beaver Creek. Her sessions emphasized power rebuilding, equipment fine-tuning, and high-speed runs, building on productive offseason training in locations including New Zealand, Chile, and Europe.

Coached by longtime collaborator Chris Knight and fellow legend Aksel Lund Svindal, Vonn has credited her revamped setup and titanium-enhanced knee for her renewed speed and confidence. “Everything is working for me now—my equipment, my team, physically,” she recently shared, highlighting the momentum carrying her toward Cortina.

With injuries sidelining key rivals and Vonn posting top times in training, expectations are sky-high for the downhill and super-G events at the Games. The Colorado camp marks a pivotal step in her preparation, blending hard work with the joy of being back on snow.

As Vonn charges toward one last Olympic medal hunt, her message is clear: the fire still burns bright.
