The Queen of Slalom does it again.
In a masterclass performance at the FIS Alpine World Cup Finals in Hafjell (Lillehammer, Norway) on March 24, 2026, Mikaela Shiffrin powered to her 110th career World Cup victory — dominating the final slalom of the season and finishing with an incredible 9 wins out of 10 races in the discipline.
The American legend, already crowned with her record 9th slalom Crystal Globe, left no doubt on the tricky Norwegian hill. She built a commanding lead after the first run and delivered another flawless, aggressive second run to seal the win in style.
Teammate Paula Moltzan (Stifel U.S. Ski Team) also shone bright, charging to a strong 5th place — capping off her best slalom season to date and finishing 5th overall in the discipline standings. What a way to end the winter for Team USA! 😮💨
Shiffrin’s season-long slalom dominance has been historic:
9 victories
Olympic slalom gold in Milano Cortina
Record-extending 9th discipline globe
From the very first gates to the final finish line, the 31-year-old has proven once again why she is widely regarded as the greatest slalom skier — and one of the greatest athletes — in history.
“This season in slalom has been special. To win 9 out of 10… I’m just so grateful,” Shiffrin said post-race, with the trademark smile and humble fire that defines her.
The Stifel U.S. Ski Team delivered on the biggest stage, with two Americans in the top 5 of the final slalom. Absolute scenes in Hafjell.
The GOAT keeps rewriting the record books. What a way to close the 2025-26 season. 🔥
