Bruno Fernandes shares what Man United’s players were saying about Chelsea’s corners before the game yesterday

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has now shared one thing his side were talking about in regards to Chelsea before last night’s game at Stamford Bridge.

He told TNT Sports that they had mentioned one thing about how the Blues take corners, with it turning out to be exactly what happened against them in the final few minutes.

Chelsea somehow pulled off a remarkable 4-3 win last night, after trailing with 99 minutes played against United.

    Cole Palmer saves Chelsea
They had the brilliance of Cole Palmer to thank for things, with him scoring a hat-trick including the latest winning goal in Premier League history.

The strike in question saw him pick the ball up from a short corner from Enzo Fernandez, before slamming a deflected strike past Andre Onana in the United goal.

Fernandes says United knew about quick Chelsea corners
Fernandes has now shared that his side had spoken about the quick corners their opponents can take, making it all the more frustrating that they scored in this very way late in the piece.

He said: “They get the goal and from the corner we have to be much quicker because we talk about that before the game, that they take corners and throw-ins very quickly. We should be more aware of that and much quicker out.

“We are aware that they do goal kicks, throw ins, corners very quickly. They have players with qualities to play through and they did.”

Fernandes was actually leading a side that were probably on top for large portions of the game in West London last night, especially after they went 2-0 down early on.

However, it turned out to be a huge result for Chelsea, and Mauricio Pochettino in particular who was likely feeling the pressure late on due to his already sketchy prospects in charge.

He was seen at full-time interacting with the crowd like he never had before at the club, with him clearly over the moon with the late antics and the win.
