‘He’s a real problem’… TalkSPORT pundit is so worried about Chelsea because of 23-year-old player

Understandably, a lot of Chelsea supporters are not happy with their team right now.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s men were absolutely humiliated on Tuesday, losing 5-0 against Arsenal.

Defeat at the Emirates left Chelsea ninth in the Premier League table, a position that they should not be in given the quality of their squad.

The Blues have the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, for example, £100m midfielders.

They were without star man Cole Palmer, but their performance in north London was so bad that Pochettino is not sure if having the England international would have actually made a difference.
TalkSPORT pundit thinks Chelsea star has become a ‘real problem’
No one in a Chelsea shirt played well at the Emirates on Tuesday.

Since then, radio presenter and Chelsea supporter Andy Jacobs has come out and defended Pochettino.

He also criticised Fernandez, describing him as a “real problem”. Speaking about the 23-year-old and his manager on talkSPORT, he said: “Fernandez, who can’t hit the target whatever happens, he had a chance [against Arsenal]. He’s a real problem I think.

“Anyone that thinks it’s Poch, all these fans on the website, ‘Poch out, Poch out’, honestly, find yourself a new sport! If you think he’s the problem at Chelsea, find yourself a new sport.”
Is Enzo Fernandez really a problem for Chelsea?
It is probably fair to say that Pochettino is not getting the best out of a £100m midfielder at this moment in time.

However, it is public knowledge now that Fernandez has been playing with an injury, while the Argentine has had some good moments this season.

For example, he grabbed a brace against Brighton & Hove Albion towards the end of last year, scored a fantastic free-kick versus Aston Villa in February and then followed that up with a goal away at Crystal Palace.

Of course, being Chelsea’s second most expensive signing of all time, you want more than a few goals. Next season, perhaps in a stronger and more stable team, the Blues will get that from Fernandez.

The amount of goals Pochettino’s side are conceding and the chances Nicolas Jackson is missing up front are probably bigger problems than the World Cup winner right now.
