Benjamin Sesko might consider staying at RB Leipzig amid heavy interest from the Premier League, although there is a twist.
According to Give Me Sport, Benjamin Sesko is leaning towards continuing his time with RB Leipzig amid heavy interest from the Premier League. The Slovenian striker has the attention of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, as his decision will come as a blow for the English trio. But there is a slight twist in the tale.

Benjamin Sesko to stay at RB Leipzig?
Benjamin Sesko was a revered name when playing with Red Bull Salzburg, and RB Leipzig wasted no time in acquiring him last summer. He was not a starting player when the season began, but as the campaign has progressed, he has made himself prominent in that team.

Currently, he is starting games regularly, and the Bundesliga outfit view him as a significant presence for the future. But he is contending with heavy interest from Premier League sides. Arsenal and Chelsea are keen, while Manchester United are also keeping close tabs, especially since he can be signed by triggering his £42 million release clause.

There have been reports stating Sesko was contemplating a Premier League move. However, he is now leaning towards staying in Leipzig in the summer and may decide on his future next year. But the twist will come in the form of any club triggering the £42 million release clause in his contract, which will leave the Bundesliga powerless unless the forward rejects all overtures.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United keen
Arsenal could be looking at a striker who could cover and compete for a role with Kai Havertz or Gabriel Jesus, while Eddie Nketiah could depart the club. Chelsea are keen to bring a No.9 that is young and, fits their transfer policy, and have many names on their list, including Sesko, ahead of the summer.

Manchester United recently cooled their interest in Serhou Guirassy, citing reasons regarding his age and long-term ceiling. Hence, a player like Sesko would fit their bill, and this will lead them towards approaching the summer alongside Arsenal and Chelsea.

With the report stating Sesko’s probability of staying put at Leipzig, these clubs might view that as a missed opportunity, especially if he ends up signing a new deal and improving his release clause. At the current £42 million price, the Slovenian striker seems like a steal, and hence, these clubs will undoubtedly attempt to convince him of a move in the summer.
