Nigel Reo-Coker has been left baffled by what he’s heard about one Manchester City player.
The Manchester club could end their latest season under Pep Guardiola with another Premier League title and FA Cup added to their cabinet if they win all of their four remaining games before the end of the month.
As the Blues look to end their season on a high, one pundit has been shocked by one thing that has happened, or more accurately, hasn’t happened, to one particular City player recently.

Speaking in a recent edition of The Friday Football Social on BBC 5 Live Sport, Reo-Coker had this to say about Rodri not being nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Season award.
He said: “He has to be in there. It makes no sense that he is not in there. He has to be in there.
“We have got used to his performances that we just don’t really give him any more credit because we are so used to him.
“With Declan Rice, we have been so surprised how he has helped Arsenal to elevate, stay competitive again this year after last year.
“He is getting more recognition. But Rodri has done it consistently for so long.”
In terms of who has been nominated for the award, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland have been joined by Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Cole Palmer, Virgil van Dijk, Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak.
Rodri has been snubbed
Across his 31 Premier League appearances this season, prior to today’s match at Fulham, Rodri has made more passes into the final third of the pitch (346) than any other player in the league.
The £220k-a-week midfielder has also shown his creative ability by racking up the fourth-highest number of goal-creating actions (23) in the division.
Then in terms of his defensive qualities, the 27-year-old has the highest combined total of tackles and interceptions (87) in the City squad.
Rodri’s overall performances have earned him a season rating of 7.62/10, making him the second-highest-rated player in the Premier League, above Rice (7.4/10).
Having now completed almost five league campaigns with City, whereas Rice is only in his first with Arsenal, this highlights why Reo-Coker thinks Rodri’s consistency may have worked against him in terms of being nominated for the Player of the Season award.
