‘Couldn’t have been worse’: Eddie Hearn reacts to Anthony Joshua’s performance against Daniel Dubois

Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua’s promoter, expressed disappointment and frustration with Joshua’s performance against Daniel Dubois, stating:

“Couldn’t have been worse… He got beaten up, he got stopped. It was a really bad night.”

    Hearn acknowledged Joshua’s struggles, citing:

“Joshua’s confidence was shot to pieces… He was hesitant, he was negative, and he got caught.”

Despite the setback, Hearn remains optimistic about Joshua’s future:

“Joshua’s still a top heavyweight, but he’s got to regroup… He’s got to find that fire, that hunger, that desire.”

Hearn hinted at potential changes in Joshua’s camp:

“We’ll sit down with AJ and his team, and we’ll decide what’s next… Maybe we need to make some adjustments.”

Joshua himself has ruled out retirement, and Hearn supports this decision:

“AJ will be back… He’s still got so much to give.”

Possible next fights for Joshua include:

    1. Rematch against Dubois
    2. Clash with Tyson Fury
    3. Bout against another top heavyweight contender

Hearn’s candid assessment underscores Joshua’s need to reassess and regroup before his next move.
