Mykel Williams, the star defensive end for Georgia, has been dealing with an ankle injury since the season-opening win against Clemson. According to Kirby Smart, Williams’ status for the upcoming game against Alabama is still uncertain. Smart mentioned that Williams has been able to participate in practice, but his timeline for return is still unknown.
Smart stated, “Mykel’s been able to do a little bit. I still don’t know the timeline on Mykel. He’s looked good running and taking some reps, some light reps, some rush reps…”. This suggests that Williams is making progress, but his availability for the game against Alabama is still up in the air.
In addition to Williams, other Georgia players are also dealing with injuries. Georgia Football Injury Report:
– Tate Ratledge: out with knee/ankle injury
– Roderick Robinson: out with toe injury
– Warren Brinson: questionable with lower leg injury, but has been practicing
– Jordan Hall: questionable with leg injury, still pushing through recovery
The game against Alabama is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET, and the final injury report will be released 90 minutes before kickoff.
