Olympic gymnastics legends Aly Raisman and Mikaela Shiffrin are eagerly anticipating the second installment of Simone Biles’ Netflix documentary series, Simone Biles Rising.
The first part, released on July 17, 2024, ahead of the Paris Olympics, offered an intimate look at Biles’ personal life, mental health journey, and Olympic preparations. It also chronicled her courageous return to competition after withdrawing from the Tokyo Games.
The upcoming second part, premiering on October 25, will focus on Biles’ historic Paris Olympics campaign. The American gymnast became the most decorated in the country, securing:
– Three gold medals (team, individual all-around, vault)
– One silver medal (floor event)
The documentary features exclusive footage of Biles’ performances and moments from her Gold Over America Tour.
Aly Raisman, Biles’ teammate and fellow gold medalist at the 2016 Rio Games, expressed pride and excitement for the upcoming installment. “I’m so proud of Simone,” Raisman said, praising Biles’ resilience and determination.
