The Tennessee Lady Vols volleyball team concludes their four-game road trip this Sunday against the Missouri Tigers at Hearnes Center. The match begins at 3 p.m. ET and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
Tennessee seeks to extend its winning streak to four games, having won five of their last six matches against Missouri. However, the Tigers lead the overall series 11-10.
The Lady Vols are coming off a decisive victory over Mississippi State, with impressive offensive and defensive performances. They had 43 kills on .351 hitting and held the Bulldogs to 33 kills on .184 hitting.
Tennessee’s offense is led by Nina Cajic, Keondreya Granberry, and Caroline Kerr. Cajic ranks seventh nationally in kills per set, while Granberry leads the nation in hitting percentage.
Granberry has emerged as a breakout star on offense this season, complementing her defensive prowess. Kerr, an AVCA National Player of the Year watch list selection, averages 10.65 assists per set.
Missouri boasts a potent offense, ranking fourth nationally in hitting percentage and sixth in kills per set. Outside hitters Jordan Iliff and Mychael Vernon spearhead the Tigers’ attack.
Iliff leads the SEC and ranks third nationally in aces, while Vernon contributes significantly to the team’s offense. The Tigers’ impressive statistics promise a challenging matchup for Tennessee.
Following the Missouri game, the Lady Vols return home to face ranked opponents No. 12 Kentucky and No. 25 Auburn. The match against Kentucky will be an “Orange Out,” with fans encouraged to wear orange and fill Food City Center.
