The International Tennis Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2025 inductees: Maria Sharapova, a five-time Grand Slam singles champion, and American twins Bob and Mike Bryan, the most successful doubles team in tennis history.
Sharapova, 37, has cemented her legacy as a pioneering force in women’s tennis. Her remarkable career includes becoming the first Russian woman to reach world No. 1 in 2005 and achieving the rare feat of winning all four Grand Slam titles.
Throughout her illustrious career, Sharapova won 36 singles titles, including five Grand Slams, and earned nearly $40 million in prize money. She also won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics. However, her career was not without challenges, including a 15-month suspension in 2016.
The Bryan twins are widely regarded as the greatest doubles team in tennis history. With 16 Grand Slam men’s doubles titles and 119 titles together, they dominated the sport for over two decades. Their impressive résumé includes an Olympic gold medal in 2012.
