Johno McBride is returning to lead the Stifel U.S. Ski Team men’s speed program, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. McBride, one of the most respected coaches in alpine skiing, has a proven track record of success, including World Cup wins at Kitzbühel and Olympic preparation camps. His name is synonymous with American success on snow, and his return to the World Cup is being met with excitement and anticipation.

After a few years away from the World Cup, McBride has been building his life at home and staying quietly connected to the sport. However, his return to the spotlight couldn’t be better timed, as the U.S. men’s speed program looks to regain its momentum. The athletes who have worked with McBride are already fired up, and his reputation as a coach who works alongside his athletes is well-deserved.

Daron Rahlves, the most successful male downhill racer in U.S. history, has praised McBride’s coaching abilities, saying, “He’s the right guy – no question about it. He made a huge impact on my career. This is what the team needs right now.” Rahlves’ endorsement is a testament to McBride’s ability to inspire and motivate his athletes.

Bryce Bennett, the most recent U.S. man to win a World Cup race, is also thrilled about McBride’s return. Bennett has stayed in touch with McBride since the coach left the team and has been vocal about his desire to see McBride return. “I’m super fired up,” Bennett said. “Johno was one of those impactful people in my career. He’s like the teachers you remember for life.”

What sets McBride apart as a coach is his ability to work alongside his athletes, pushing them to be their best while also listening and providing support. Bennett recalled a dryland camp at McBride’s Colorado ranch, where the coach showed up sick but refused to sit out. “He had pneumonia or something, but he was still there with us, hacking up a lung, keeping pace on the mountain bike,” Bennett said. “You see that, and you’re like, alright – we’re doing it.”

McBride’s return to the Stifel U.S. Ski Team is a significant development for the program, and his experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping the team achieve its goals. With McBride at the helm, the U.S. men’s speed program is poised for success, and athletes like Bennett are already excited about the prospect of working with him again.

As the team prepares for the upcoming season, McBride’s leadership and guidance will be crucial in helping the athletes reach their full potential. With his proven track record of success and his ability to inspire and motivate his athletes, McBride is the perfect choice to lead the Stifel U.S. Ski Team men’s speed program.

In conclusion, Johno McBride’s return to the Stifel U.S. Ski Team is a welcome development for the program, and his experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping the team achieve its goals. With McBride at the helm, the U.S. men’s speed program is poised for success, and athletes like Bennett are already excited about the prospect of working with him again.
