USA Softball has announced its coaching pool for the 2025-2028 quad, featuring an impressive lineup of experienced coaches. Chris Malveaux, currently the co-head coach at Auburn University, will be part of this esteemed group, bringing his expertise to the U.S. Women’s National Team.

The coaching pool includes Patty Gasso, John Bargfeldt, Trisha Ford, JT Gasso, Kelly Kretschman, Lincoln Martin, Stacey Nuveman-Deniz, Jen Rocha, and Natasha Watley. These coaches bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, ensuring the team’s continued success on the international stage.

Malveaux’s appointment to the coaching pool is a testament to his growing influence in the softball world. As co-head coach at Auburn University, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. Prior to joining Auburn, Malveaux served as an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee, contributing to the Lady Volunteers’ back-to-back Southeastern Conference titles in 2023 and 2024.

Under Malveaux’s guidance, Tennessee’s offense thrived, ranking best in the SEC and third nationally in runs per game. He has also worked with USA Softball, serving as an assistant coach for the 2022 and 2023 Japan All-Star Series.

The coaching pool will play a crucial role in shaping the U.S. Women’s National Team’s strategy and performance over the next four years. With the LA28 Olympic Games on the horizon, the team is expected to intensify its training and preparation.
