Legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses delivered an electrifying performance at Luxexpo Open Air on July 28, 2025, marking their first-ever show in Luxembourg City. The concert, part of their Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things tour, was hailed as “an iconic night” by the band and fans alike, cementing another milestone in their storied career.

The sold-out crowd at Luxexpo Open Air was treated to a blistering three-hour setlist that spanned the band’s iconic catalog. Kicking off with “Welcome to the Jungle” and powering through classics like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain,” and “Paradise City,” Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan, backed by their stellar lineup, delivered a high-energy performance that left the audience roaring. The set also included covers such as “Live and Let Die” by Wings and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan, alongside newer tracks like “Hard Skool” and “Absurd.”

“Thank you for an iconic night,” the band posted on X after the show, sharing a photo of the ecstatic crowd. Fans echoed the sentiment, with one attendee writing, “Guns N’ Roses brought the house down in Luxembourg! First show here and it was pure magic!” The hashtag #GunsNRoses trended across social media as concertgoers shared videos of Slash’s searing guitar solos and Axl’s commanding stage presence.

The Luxembourg City debut followed a rain-soaked but triumphant performance in Vienna, showcasing the band’s ability to captivate audiences under any conditions. “Two kick-ass cities; Vienna & Luxembourg, it was epic,” the band posted on X, celebrating the back-to-back shows. The Luxembourg concert, starting at 8:20 PM, was a testament to their enduring appeal, drawing fans from across Europe to witness a historic moment.

Formed in 1985, Guns N’ Roses has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, with their 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction remaining a cornerstone of rock music. Their ability to blend raw energy with emotional depth continues to resonate, as evidenced by the diverse crowd of young and veteran fans in Luxembourg. “I’ve waited years for this,” said local fan Claire Dubois. “Seeing them live for the first time in my city was unreal.”

The band’s setlist also paid homage to their influences, with covers of Black Sabbath’s “Never Say Die” and “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” reflecting their ongoing tribute to rock legends. As Guns N’ Roses continues their 2025 tour, with upcoming stops in Costa Rica and El Salvador, anticipation is high for more unforgettable performances.
