Mikaela Shiffrin delivered another masterclass in slalom on Sunday, powering to her 103rd career FIS Alpine Ski World Cup victory and strengthening her grip on the discipline she has dominated for more than a decade.
The 30-year-old American produced two near-perfect runs on the technically demanding Gurgl course, finishing 1.23 seconds clear of the field. Rising Albanian star Lara Colturi, 19, took a career-best second place, while Switzerland’s Camille Rast completed the podium in third.
Shiffrin, who already owned the record for most World Cup wins by any skier (male or female), extended her advantage dramatically in the decisive second run to claim her second victory in eight days and the third of the young 2025-26 season.
The result keeps Shiffrin firmly on track as the clear favorite heading into the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in February, where she will chase further historic achievements in what is widely expected to be one of her final Olympic appearances.
With 103 wins now to her name – including an unmatched 59 in slalom alone – Shiffrin continues to rewrite the record books and cement her legacy as the greatest alpine skier of all time.
