Olympic skiing legend Lindsey Vonn is enjoying some holiday downtime with family before ramping up for the 2026 Winter Games in Milan-Cortina, Italy.
The 41-year-old athlete shared a joyful Christmas Day video on social media, showing her dancing playfully with her sister, Karin Kildow, while wearing an elegant semi-sheer white dress.
Vonn captioned the post: “When they don’t believe but we do it anyway…” — a nod to her defiant spirit amid her remarkable comeback to competitive skiing.
Fans flooded the comments with praise, calling her an “inspiration in resilience and perseverance” and expressing excitement for her Olympic return. One admirer wrote, “I’m a believer,” while another joked, “I’ll have what she’s having.
Vonn’s holiday fun comes on the heels of a triumphant season that has solidified her spot on the U.S. Olympic team. After retiring in 2019 due to injuries and undergoing partial knee replacement surgery, she rejoined the U.S. Ski Team in 2024.
This year, Vonn has defied expectations, securing multiple World Cup podiums — including a historic downhill victory in St. Moritz earlier this month, making her the oldest skier to win a World Cup race. She recently qualified for the 2026 Olympics in downhill, marking what would be her fifth Games.
The three-time Olympic medalist (including gold in downhill at Vancouver 2010) holds numerous records, such as being the only American woman with an Olympic downhill gold and the female skier with the most World Cup wins (now at 83).
