Skiing legends Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin are giving us all the feels as Team USA dominates the slopes heading into the 2026 Olympics!
The unstoppable Mikaela Shiffrin just clinched her record-extending 106th World Cup win – and her sixth straight slalom – with a jaw-dropping comeback in the night slalom at Semmering, Austria on December 28. Trailing in fourth after a tough first run on a deteriorating, injected course slammed as “unsafe” by Shiffrin herself, the 30-year-old queen roared back with the fastest second run to edge Switzerland’s Camille Rast by just 0.09 seconds. Talk about clutch! 🏆
Fresh off her own incredible comeback season, 41-year-old Lindsey Vonn – who recently snagged her 83rd career win and qualified for her fifth Olympics – was quick to cheer on her teammate. Vonn hyped Shiffrin’s battle with a flood of celebratory emojis on the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team’s posts on X and Instagram. Pure support from one GOAT to another! ❤️🔥
With Shiffrin perfect in slalom this season (5-for-5) and Vonn crushing speed events, the American women are unstoppable. Could we see these two powerhouses team up in the new combined event at Milan-Cortina 2026? Dreams! 👀
