That’s right – Mikaela Shiffrin is locked and loaded for today’s giant slalom on the brutal, legendary slopes of Kronplatz (Plan de Corones), Italy… and she’s starting from bib number 8 with that signature cheeky emoji that says she’s feeling the pressure… but thriving in it! 😏⛷️
Fresh off her massive 107th World Cup victory (and sixth slalom win this season!) in the epic night race at Flachau – where she and teammate Paula Moltzan delivered a dominant American 1-2 – Mikaela is charging straight into giant slalom territory. With the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics just weeks away, every gate she carves could be another step toward more Olympic glory.
Kronplatz has seen Shiffrin magic before… and the mountain is calling her name again.
