Lindsey Vonn isn’t slamming the door on her ski racing career just yet—but she’s definitely not ready to talk about it either.

The 41-year-old legend, still healing from a brutal crash at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, fired back at the endless speculation in a fiery social media post that’s got fans buzzing.

“No, I’m not ready to discuss my future in skiing,” Vonn wrote on X. “My focus has been on recovering from my injury and getting back to normal life. I was already retired for 6 years and have an amazing life outside of skiing.”

She crashed spectacularly just 13 seconds into her Olympic downhill run in February, suffering a complex tibia fracture in her left leg that required multiple surgeries (and came scarily close to amputation due to compartment syndrome). The injury cut short what was meant to be her epic comeback story—at an age when most athletes have long hung up their skis.

But Vonn made it crystal clear: she’s calling the shots.

“It was incredible to be #1 in the world again at 41 years old and set new records in my sport,” she continued, “but at my age, I’m the only one that will decide my future. I don’t need anyone’s permission to do what makes me happy. Maybe that means racing again, maybe that doesn’t.”

She doubled down in follow-ups, urging everyone to chill: Rehab comes first. Retirement talk? Not today. “Lots of life left to live. Will cross that bridge when I get to it.”

The skiing icon has been sharing gritty recovery updates—stationary biking, weights, and steady progress—proving her fighter spirit is as strong as ever.

For now, the queen of the slopes is focused on healing, not headlines. Whatever comes next, it’ll be on her terms.

Will she lace up again? The world waits—but Lindsey Vonn? She’s making us wait too. 💪⛷️
