American skiing icon Lindsey Vonn is already rewriting her own comeback story — and the internet can’t stop watching.

Just weeks after a horrifying crash at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on February 8, the Olympic champion stunned fans by posting a raw workout video showing her banging out six clean pull-ups like it was nothing.
The clip, shared on Saturday, captures the moment perfectly: Vonn powers through the reps, breaks into a huge smile, fist-bumps her trainer… then casually reaches for her crutches. Strength meets reality in one powerful frame.
The crash was brutal. In the women’s downhill final, Vonn clipped the second gate just seconds into her run, slammed hard, and was stretchered off before being flown to hospital by helicopter. Doctors initially feared they might have to amputate her leg.
Since then she’s endured five surgeries — four in Italy and one marathon six-hour operation back in the United States to rebuild the leg and fight off infection.
Yet Vonn is already joking she feels “bionic” thanks to all the metal screws and plates. This isn’t her first rodeo: after a 2024 knee surgery with titanium implants, she came out of five-year retirement and immediately won a World Cup downhill. She even tore her ACL in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, right before the Olympics… but still showed up to compete.
Now the message is loud and clear: she’s not done. Vonn has openly said she wants to ski again — and this gym video is living proof she’s charging toward that goal one determined rep at a time.
The legend isn’t just recovering. She’s roaring back.
