Lindsey Vonn is proving once again that nothing can keep her down.
Just weeks after a devastating crash at the 2026 Olympics that nearly cost her a leg, the alpine legend has posted a powerful video showing her determination in rehab — and fans are already wondering if another epic comeback is in the works.
In the clip, Vonn is seen pushing through physical therapy, including upper-body strength moves and careful mobility work, while dealing with the aftermath of five surgeries on her shattered left leg. One recent highlight: completing six unassisted pull-ups post-surgery before celebrating with her trainer.
Her caption said it all: “No matter how hard I get knocked down I will always find a way to get back up! One step at a time!”
Vonn’s journey has been remarkable from the start. After retiring in 2019, she made a stunning return, won World Cup races at an age when most athletes have long hung up their skis, tore her ACL just before the Games, and still lined up for the downhill in Cortina — only to crash 13 seconds in.
The aftermath was brutal: compartment syndrome, emergency surgery to save her leg, and an intensive recovery process that has included hospital stays, hyperbaric therapy, and daily rehab.
Yet in her Vanity Fair interview, Vonn refused to close the book on her career. “I don’t like to close the door on anything,” she said, leaving open the possibility of returning to skiing in the coming years.
Whether or not she races again, her current progress — from biking five minutes at a time to walking steps on crutches — is already extraordinary. Support has poured in from across the sports world, and Vonn has shared many of those encouraging messages.
At 41, with a career full of comebacks already behind her, Lindsey Vonn is showing the world she’s still writing her story — one determined step at a time.
