Lindsey Vonn is not easing into recovery. She’s sprinting through it in heels. Just months after a devastating Olympic crash that nearly cost her a leg, the 41-year-old skiing icon has packed her September with red carpets, galas, tennis finals, brand work, and gym sessions — and she’s showing up camera-ready every time.
The latest stop: Saturday night’s star-studded opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. Vonn walked the carpet alongside Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Lewis Hamilton, Leonardo DiCaprio, and a who’s-who of Hollywood, then gave E! News an update on her recovery while looking every bit the main character.
That appearance came days after a red-eye flight into a dramatic red cape gown at the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women Dinner in New York. She posed, adjusted the cape on camera, and kept moving — the same composure she once used at 80 mph.
Before that it was the US Open: first a skin-tight green dress with a thigh-high slit that put her surgery scars on full display, then a sharp dark-blue suit with gold buttons for the men’s final. Gucci tagged her. Fans lost it. She smiled through it.
In between the events she’s been in the gym posting workout videos — stationary bike, BOSU ball, barbell work — with the caption energy of someone who refuses to skip training even when the schedule is chaos: “Feel like I’ve been running around all over the place lately… but I always try to keep a good balance of work and living my life to the fullest.”
Add a new partnership with Vertex for its non-opioid pain medicine Journavx, announced mid-September, and you get the picture: Vonn is treating fall 2026 like another race season. Different mountain. Same pace.
She still has ACL surgery ahead (she’s targeting November, with a long rehab after that). She still talks about not looking too far forward. But right now the message is simple: the calendar is full, the looks are locked, and the woman who once flew down Cortina is now flying between cities — and landing every time.
