Olympic ski legend Lindsey Vonn was honored in her longtime Under Armour hometown this week when Baltimore dedicated West Peninsula Drive as Lindsey Vonn Way.
On November 4, 2026, the City of Baltimore and Under Armour held a celebration at Baltimore Peninsula (near the company’s headquarters) to mark Vonn’s 20-year partnership with the brand — the longest-tenured athlete partnership in Under Armour history. Mayor Brandon Scott unveiled the street sign and proclaimed November 4 “Lindsey Vonn Day.” Under Armour founder and CEO Kevin Plank joined Vonn for the ceremony.
“This is the only street that’s named after me, so thank you so much to everyone for all of the support,” Vonn said. “Over 20 years, I have been coming to Baltimore. It’s amazing what has been built here through Under Armour. … This will be going in a very special place. I hope I’ll be driving on Lindsey Vonn Way a lot.”
Mayor Scott called her a role model of grit and resilience: “Just like Baltimore, Lindsey’s story is one of grit and resilience. Today is an opportunity to celebrate an athlete who is truly a role model for the next generation… This street honors the impact and legacy.” Plank added that what Vonn represents goes deeper than being the face of the brand for two decades — she embodies fighting for something you believe in when it gets hard.
Vonn, a three-time Olympic medalist (gold in downhill at Vancouver 2010, plus bronzes in super-G 2010 and downhill 2018), four-time World Cup overall champion, and one of the most decorated American alpine skiers ever, has been synonymous with Under Armour since signing in 2006. The partnership has spanned her peak dominance, major injuries, retirement, comeback after knee replacement, and recent high-profile crashes in the 2025-26 season.
The street runs near Under Armour’s campus, so employees and visitors will literally travel Lindsey Vonn Way every day — a permanent civic tribute to one of the brand’s most iconic athletes and a Baltimore sports landmark.
