There have been games this season where the defense has played really well, like when they beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. But they also made pedestrians look like superstars.
A week after being embarrassed by the Giants, the defense made Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield the first visiting quarterback at Lambeau Field with a very good passer rating. The decision to fire Barry received a positive response from Packers fans. Unfortunately for Barry, he’s always had a hard time with fans.
It wasn’t easy being Jim Leonhard, the former Wisconsin Badgers coach who was offered the job he turned down. But his work was of no use to him. With Barry gone, Packers fans are hoping the 2024 defense will be much improved over the last three years. They also expressed displeasure with another key member of the team’s coaching staff.
