This Heartwarming Gesture by Pat Freiermuth Will Surely Make His 2 Parents and Pittsburgh Steelers Fans Proud
Pat Freiermuth is going to be busy this offseason, not just because of football but because he is taking care of some unfinished business. In his latest appearance with The Pocket podcast, the Pittsburgh Steelers tight end shared that he is currently taking classes at Penn State to finish getting his college degree, citing his mother as his main motivation. “I’m actually currently enrolled at Penn State right now, taking classes to finish up getting my degree,” said Freiermuth. “I promised my mom I’d get my degree, so I’m excited to see the smile on her face when I get…
The Pittsburgh Steelers were lucky enough to have a franchise quarterback for 18 seasons. Ben Roethlisberger helped to lead the Steelers to three Super Bowl appearances, two Super Bowl victories, and one of the greatest offensive attacks in NFL history during the 2010s. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Roethlisberger hit a hard decline that resulted in his retirement after the 2021 season. It is very hard to have back-to-back franchise quarterbacks in the NFL, but the Steelers were hoping to find their new leader in 2022. The Steelers opted to wait until after Roethlisberger’s retirement…
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a timeless institution for football fans. They have their way of playing the game and conducting business. Some fans call it old school and find comfort that at least one of their cherished childhood memories has not changed very much. Other fans define it as the Steeler Way and point to the organization’s stability, loyalty, and success in the Super Bowl era as the gold standard in running a professional sports franchise. Steelers’ Roethlisberger Gives Another Controversial Take Tomin and the Steelers rallied to make the playoffs, but Roethlisberger is still making headlines by standing in…
The Pittsburgh Steelers have made two moves to their coaching staff, changing the role of one offensive assistant and hiring an outside candidate. Per the team’s website, the Steelers have officially changed former quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan’s role to senior offensive assistant. After hiring Tom Arth as their new QB coach, Pittsburgh will retain Sullivan but have made his role broader as they keep an experienced coach on their staff. Sullivan had two offensive coordinator interviews outside of the team, meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints, but did not get hired for either job. His relationship…
The conversations about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation won’t stop until there is more clarity regarding what Head Coach Mike Tomlin wants to do at the position in 2024. A re-signing of Mason Rudolph will shut up the crowd talking about the possibility of big names such as Justin Fields and Russell Wilson coming to town. Until then, however, the murmurs will continue. No one is quite sure what the organization has planned for Kenny Pickett’s career, but it seems as if they are going to give him one final chance to prove himself with an offensive coordinator not named…
After firing Matt Canada during the 2023 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers turned to Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan to run the offense. After the season ended, Faulkner was returned to his position as running backs coach, along with an extension of his contract. However, Sullivan was replaced by Tom Arth, who previously worked with the Los Angeles Chargers. Sullivan was a candidate for offensive coordinator for two other teams in the league, but that never materialized. Instead, the Steelers brought him back: just not as the offensive coordinator or quarterbacks coach. Steelers Give Sullivan New Title Besides the games where…
Steelers’ Joey Porter Jr. Has Been An Incredible Resource For Pitt Cornerback Who Thinks…
Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback, Joey Porter Jr. bided his time learning on and off the field during his rookie season in 2023 until Week 8 when he was thrust into the starting lineup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He grabbed a hold of the starting job from there, not letting it go for the rest of the season. Porter leaned on veteran Patrick Peterson for guidance and developed a strong bond with safety Damontae Kazee that helped him get acclimated with the pro game. Porter has been an important sounding board for University of Pittsburgh cornerback, M.J. Devonshire, as he navigated his…
Everyone has an opinion on which positions the Pittsburgh Steelers should target in the 2024 NFL Draft. The biggest question mark on the roster has to be the quarterback position, considering how important a signal-caller has become in the new era of the NFL. Kenny Pickett getting one more chance seems likely and given the organization’s draft position, selecting a top-tier quarterback isn’t in the cards, given a league-wide need for the position. Free agency and the trade market may be an option to bring someone in to replace or compete with Pickett, but Omar Khan still has his hands…
Revealed!!! The NBA Offered $1 Million To Vince Carter, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, And Tracy McGrady To…
Speaking on “The VC Show,” NBA legend Vince Carter pitched some ideas to improve the slam dunk contest and it includes a million-dollar cash participation prize, similar to something they tried in the past. Looking back on his playing days, Carter revealed that the NBA once offered $1 million to compete in a contest with Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Tracy McGrady before the stars backed out at the last minute. “I know for a fact a couple of years back that the NBA tried this tactic, as far as upping the ante a little bit,” said Carter. “A million…
Few if any teams in NBA history were as dominant as the late 1990’s/early 2000’s Los Angeles Lakers, led by Shaquille O’Neal and the late Kobe Bryant. Bryant and O’Neal teamed up to win three straight championships for the Lakers; however, in the eyes of the media, the real story was found in the at-times volatile relationship between the two superstars, with reports of the duo not getting along behind the scenes running rampant in the press despite the success the Purple & Gold were having on the court. Recently, Brian Shaw, who was a member of those three championship…
