Rudi Garcia, the manager of Napoli, has said that the team didn’t intend for the contentious TikTok video to harm Victor Osimhen.
As previously mentioned, the Partonopei posted a video to their TikTok account that seemed to criticize Osimhen for missing a penalty in the team’s scoreless draw with Bologna last weekend.
The 24-year-old has deleted all pictures of him wearing the Partenopei jersey on his Instagram account and has threatened to sue the team.
The Nigerian international and Garcia had got into a fight after Garcia was replaced against Bologna.
However, the Ballon d’Or nominee broke a four-game goal drought on Wednesday night when he netted Napoli’s second in their 4-1 thumping of Udinese.
Garcia acknowledged that the club had experienced some difficulties ever since the weekend match against Bologna while speaking about the problems affecting the organization following the game.
“Some clumsy behavior caused some little difficulties over the past two days.
Nobody intended to cause harm, not Victor by removing his photos from social media or the TikTok user who posted the video of him.
Garcia was reported by Football Italia as saying, “Nobody intended to hurt anyone; these are instinctive reactions and are understandable.”
