According to sport bild, fabio carvalho is reportedly set to return to fulham on loan after returning from rb leipzig this january. The portugal under-21 international left liverpool for leipzig in the summer, but was eventually released by the reds after only playing for the bundesliga side in the first half of this season. During his time at fulham, carvalho was a great player, and liverpool seems to be able to send him back to the club in an attempt to get him to play again and return to his promising career after a difficult year or so.
In his daily briefing column for caughtoffside, fabrizio romano has also mentioned interest from southampton, but it could be that lfc would prefer him to play in the premier league rather than going down to the championship. Liverpool fans will just hope carvalho can regain some confidence and put his recent woes behind him, possibly putting him in a good position to return and compete for a place in jurgen klopp’s side next season. Fulham have had a good season and are playing the kind of attacking football that might be a good match for carvalho’s style.
