Mauricio Pochettino has now shared the text he got from the Chelsea owners after their embarrassing defeat to Wolves at the weekend.
He claimed in his pre-match press conference that they were in touch, and he received a positive text message stating that they were all in the process together at Stamford Bridge.
Things reached close to boiling point at the weekend for Pochettino as the Blues shipped four goals for the second successive game, this time against a side below them in the table.
Some supporters who attended in West London made it known that their patience had run out, and a large portion of that blame was directed at the man in charge.
This has led to reports of other candidates for the role being sounded out, with members of the board in disagreement over what should be done.
Pochettino has now shared what happened just after the game and defeat.
He said: “I didn’t hear nothing. in another way. I received a very good text from them. We are all together in this. That is the most important. They are in contact with him and the sporting directors every day.”
It does feel as if the Argentine is going to be given the chance to win the EFL Cup final that he booked his place in earlier this month.
He is yet to win a trophy in England, and this provides the perfect opportunity to do so with a one-off game against Liverpool in the League Cup.
However, defeat there will surely mark the end of what has largely been an uninspiring tenure at the club, and one that has been claimed that he has not even enjoyed himself.
The managerial merry-go round could be coming back to Stamford Bridge very soon, with Chelsea fans more than used to what it brings.
