Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer Cole Palmer a lucrative new deal to bridge the gap between the 21-year-old and the club’s highest earners.
Man City made the massive decision in the last summer window to allow Palmer to depart the club after he made the decision that it was the right thing for his career to move away.
Palmer, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, scoring 23 goals and registering 13 assists in all competitions this season for CHELSEA and as looked like a world class signing for the Blues.
His performances have now meant that Chelsea are desperate to make sure he commits to his future and he will be given a double-your money offer to sign up, according to The Mirror.
It is said that Chelsea are planning to open talks with Palmer’s camp over a new deal before he jets off to represent England at Euro 2024. He is currently tied down until 2030 but Stamford Bridge chiefs are reportedly keen to ensure that his earnings reflect his importance to the club.
Palmer currently earns around £80,000 per week but his wages pale in comparison to many of his Chelsea team-mates. Raheem Sterling is on around £325,000 per week,
