Darwin Nunez has deleted virtually all of his LIverpool-related social media posts.
Nunez came on as a second-half substitute in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Tottenham where he missed a gilt-edged chance to settle potential late nerves for the hosts.
The Uruguayan has struggled to build on his debut season at Anfield with a Premier League high 32 offside rulings and the second most chances this season with 27.
Following the Reds’ return to winning ways, Nunez took the surprise decision to take down all bar one of his photographs uploaded to Instagram from his time at the club.
Only a shot taken on his first day after an initial £65 million move in summer 2022 remains while pictures playing for old club Benfica and his country remain on display.
Nunez has however kept Liverpool’s social media handle in his biography but the removal of all posts has fuelled inevitable speculation over his long-term future.
