There’s a really exciting winger following in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah and he could be perfect for Liverpool.

Liverpool will be looking to reinforce the club’s attacking options this summer. Arne Slot is a manager who likes to have a lot of options to choose from in his offensive line, which means the Reds will bring in at least one more attacker.

Michael Edwards and his new recruitment team will also be looking at potential under the radar gems in the market. Especially with FSG hoping to transition into a multi-club model.

And there’s an exciting young player Liverpool should definitely be looking into signing, who is following in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah.

Why Ali Jassim should be on Liverpool’s transfer radar
Right now, one of the biggest talents in the Middle East has to be Iraq international Ali Jassim. The youngster is following in the footsteps of other Arabian stars like Mohamed Salah and really catching the eye with performances in his homeland.

Jasim’s latest exploits saw him finish the U23 Asian Cup as the competition’s top-scorer and lead his side to a place at the Olympics in Paris later this year.

Incidentally, Salah was the same age as Jasim is set to be when he competed in the Olympics with Egypt for the first time back in 2012.

Jasim is 20-years-old right now, and he’s a winger with an excellent eye for goal and a brilliant technical ability. He’s one of the brightest young stars in Asia and Liverpool should definitely be keeping an eye on him.

    Ali Jasim’s incredible numbers
As well as top-scoring the U23 Asian Cup, Jasim also has four goals in five games in the AFC Champions League this season.

He has made 11 goal contributions for Iraq’s U23 team, and also has 11 senior international caps for the country in which he has registered six assists.

Last year, he played a pivotal role in helping Iraq reach the U20 World Cup by scoring and assisting a goal in the semi-finals of the U20 Asian Cup against Japan.

Jasim also scored the winner against Iran in the quarter-finals, and although Iraq lost the final to Uzbekistan 1-0, he still caught the eye.

Jasim is a raw prospect, and he could be the perfect acquisition to bring to FSG’s new multi-club system this summer.
