The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for their Week 2 contest against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, in a game that was supposed to be a homecoming of sorts for Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson.
But a nagging calf injury that he suffered at the beginning of training camp kept him out of the team’s Week 1 win against the Atlanta Falcons and will affect his status on Sunday in Denver. Whether it’s Wilson or Justin Fields under center, the Steelers are hunting for their third straight win in Denver and their first 2-0 start to a season since 2020. But there are injuries to both sides that could affect the manpower on the field.
