PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to get much healthier coming out of their bye week. For the second straight day, center Zach Frazier (ankle), running back Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle), and quarterback Justin Fields (hamstring) were full participants. All three seem on track to play against the Washington Commanders.
Linebacker Tyler Matakevich (hamstring) and wide receiver Ben Skowronek (shoulder) remain on injured reserve but were full participants for the second straight day. Both players could be activated and return against the Commanders. If they do, the Steelers will have to clear two roster spots.
Outside linebacker Nick Herbig remained limited for the second straight day as he tries to return from a hamstring injury. Friday will be the determining day for Herbig on if he will play, but he was optimistic that he would return against the Commanders.
Meanwhile, safety Terrell Edmunds missed his second straight with an illness. Tight end MyCole Pruitt popped up with a knee injury and did not practice. Veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward did not practice and was given a rest designation.
