PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers tight end MyCole Pruitt is injured. The tight end popped up on injury report on Thursday with a knee injury, though it is unknown if it is a serious injury or just rest. Pruitt is a veteran and the team has remained cognizant of a knee injury that he suffered against the Denver Broncos.
Pruitt missed four weeks with that injury but returned against the New York Jets. He has taken similar breaks in the ensuing weeks as the team tries to keep him healthy down the stretch. He is one of the team’s primary blocking tight ends alongside Darnell Washington.
Friday’s report will be crucial for Pruitt, who was a full participant on Wednesday. As long as he does practice, the Steelers should expect to have him in a crucial matchup against the Commanders on Sunday.
