Despite the setback, Youssef Kadiri continued to shine, earning his 21st win of the season and cracking the top 10 single-season victories list.
The match began with Texas Tech taking the doubles point, courtesy of strong victories on courts two and three. Tyler Stewart and Ludovico Vaccari defeated Kadiri and Rémy Trégourès on court two, 6-3, while Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri picked up a 6-1 victory against Paul Théate and Max Contet in the third-flight match.
In singles competition, Texas Tech doubled their lead with Guglieri’s 6-3, 6-1 victory over Trégourès on court five. An identical 6-3, 6-1 win from Arsic over Lucas Hammond brought the Red Raiders within one point of clinching the match.
