Mikaela Shiffrin just showed off the upgraded home gym that has her grinning like she already won the season. On Wednesday, the six-time overall World Cup champion posted a mirror selfie from her newly renovated Colorado garage gym with a simple caption:
“Summer garage renovation —> home gym got a face lift. This literally makes me sooooo happy🥴🤓🐥🏋️♀️”
The photo says the rest. Blue Adidas sports bra, light shorts, neon shoes, squat rack loaded with plates, TRX straps hanging nearby, and ski equipment stacked in the background. The space that used to be a regular garage now looks like a serious off-season command center.
That’s not decoration. That’s preparation. Shiffrin trains six days a week. A typical day can run four to eight hours when strength work, conditioning, mobility, and recovery are stacked together. She has said for years that she only spends about five weeks a year in her Edwards home. When she is there, the gym has to deliver.
The timing is not accidental. She just wrapped speed training in La Parva, Chile, with U.S. teammates and fiancé Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. The World Cup winter is next. Sölden is around the corner. After that comes the long grind of slalom, giant slalom, and everything in between.
This is the same athlete who rebuilt her core after a serious 2024 crash, who still does the unglamorous work — weighted crossover step-ups, hanging oblique raises, single-leg strength, and endless mobility — because alpine racing punishes anything that isn’t bulletproof. The new setup gives her a cleaner, more complete place to do that work when she is home instead of living out of hotel gyms.
Fans immediately clocked the details: the hanging ladder, the proper rack, the fact that the GOAT still trains in a garage and looks thrilled about it. That mix — elite equipment, no-frills space, and genuine joy — is exactly why the post landed.
Winter is coming. Mikaela Shiffrin’s garage is ready. The rest of the field has been warned.
