Lindsey Vonn was back in Arthur Ashe Stadium for the 2026 US Open men’s singles semifinals, and the cameras found her immediately.
The Olympic alpine star posted a set of images from the night with the simple caption marking the men’s Final Four in New York. Friday, September 11, was a heavy date in Flushing Meadows. Alexander Zverev beat Karen Khachanov 6-3, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (6) in the afternoon. Then Ben Shelton outlasted Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 7-5 in an all-American night session that sent Shelton into Sunday’s final against Zverev. The stadium also marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with moments of silence, flags at half-mast, and a light-blue Tribute in Light glow after dusk.
Vonn has been a regular at this Open. She attended opening night in a green dress, sat with Jimmy Fallon earlier in the tournament, and told TNT Sports she still has ACL surgery ahead after the crash that ended her Olympic downhill just 13 seconds in. “I feel great, and I’m very thankful for that,” she said of her current stage of recovery. “Once I get my ACL, then I’ll have another long road ahead of me.”
