Liverpool will face Manchester City in a mouth-watering Premier League clash on Sunday (10 March) at Anfield.
The Reds are top of the Premier League with 63 points, followed by Man City and Arsenal with 62 and 61 points respectively
Liverpool are still assessing the fitness of defender Ibrahima Konate ahead of Sunday’s Premier League fixture with Manchester City at Anfield.
The centre-back was a 51st-minute withdrawal in the 5-1 Europa League victory over Sparta Prague on Thursday night, requiring on-field treatment before going off at Stadion Letna.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Jürgen Klopp gave an update on the general state of his squad: “Yeah, fresh, Joe [Gomez] is fine – Ibou, I don’t know.
“Ibou was rather positive last night, he thought he made the right decision in the right moment saying it’s better I go [off]. But how we know, that doesn’t mean a lot unfortunately. He will get scanned, definitely, [but] so far I don’t have the results of that. All the others are fine.”
Asked about Mohamed Salah specifically following his return, he added: “Mo, there is nothing. He is fine.”
