The Pittsburgh Steelers had a mediocre offensive last season, allowing the 14th-most hits, the 21st-most pressures, the 11th-highest pressure percentage, the 24th-most sacks, and the 17th-highest pass block win rate.

The Steelers released C Mason Cole and RT Chukwuma Okorafor during the offseason, leaving two vacancies on their offensive line.
Here’s their starting offensive line if the season started today.

If the season started today, the Steelers’ starting lineup would include LT Dan Moore Jr., LG Isaac Seumalo, C Nate Herbig, RG James Daniels, and RT Broderick Jones.

Despite having two vacancies, the biggest question mark is what the Steelers will do with Jones. Jones started at LT in college but replaced Okorafor at RT last season.

The Steelers had a top-30 visit with an offensive lineman.

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a top-30 visit with a top offensive lineman.
According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers had a top-30 visit with Graham Barton.

Barton played center and left tackle with Duke.

Mel Kiper Jr. predicts that he will play this position in the NFL.

Mel Kiper Jr. refers to Barton as a “plug and play” at the center position.

“They’ve had centers and anchors of those lines that have been there forever and have done great jobs, and now they gotta get that guy. And Graham Barton from Duke could be that guy,” Kiper said. “He’s a former tackle. He played center early on…He’s a plug-and-play center for [Russell] Wilson or [Justin] Fields or both, ’cause I think both will play. So yeah, I would think you gotta get that anchor.”

Graham Barton had a successful career with the Duke Blue Devils.
Barton committed to the Blue Devils as a three-star recruit for the 2020 season.

Injuries to Jack Wohlabaugh and Will Taylor allowed Barton to play in their last six games and start five at center in 2020. The Athletic named him to their Freshman All-American Second Team

Barton switched to left tackle in 2021. He played in 12 games, starting 12, with four hits, ten hurries, six sacks allowed, and a 73.1 PFF Grade. He would start at left tackle for the next two seasons.

Barton played in 13 games, starting 13 in 2022, with zero hits, eight hurries, two sacks allowed, and an 88.2 PFF Grade. The ACC named him to their All-ACC First-Team

Barton played in nine games, starting nine in 2023, with zero hits, nine hurries, two sacks, and a 75.9 PFF Grade. He missed four games with an ankle injury. The ACC named him to their All-ACC First-Team.
Will the Pittsburgh Steelers draft a tackle or center in the first round?
