Some fans make same Trent Alexander-Arnold comment as Liverpool vice captain spotted in Monaco

Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold was spotted in Monaco for the Formula One this weekend. And the stylish outfit that the Scouser donned caused plenty of conversation on social media.

Alexander-Arnold has become a part-owner at Alpine Racing along with a host of other celebrity names and was spotted at the famous racing circuit. He was also seen around Monaco beforehand, and then popped up on the grid before the race.

Alexander-Arnold was wearing a pair of cream dungarees as he was photographed out and about in the principality, leading to inevitable comments on X/Twitter. One user wrote: ‘Looks prepped for some painting and decorating!’

Another captioned a photograph of Alexander-Arnold ‘bedroom painted quickly’ (a reference to his Corner Taken Quickly against Barcelona). ‘Off to do a spot of painting after the race,’ another said.

After being asked by Sky Sports News while in Monaco whether he felt Liverpool would be able to minimize the disruption at Anfield this summer despite the departure of Jürgen Klopp and the arrival of Arne Slot, the Reds’ number 66 replied: “I hope so.”

“I have trust in the club and who we’ve appointed,” he added. “As a player, that’s all you can ask for, to have trust in what the higher-ups have brought in. I’m sure it will be a smooth transition.”

Liverpool.com says: Outfit aside, Alexander-Arnold has a good chance of being proven right about the transition this summer. Behind the scenes, the Reds have been planning how to succeed Klopp for a while and the appointments of the likes of Michael Edwards and Julian Ward seem very sensible.

One of the biggest items on the agenda for them this summer must be negotiating a new contract for Alexander-Arnold. As it stands, he — like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk — only has a year left on his existing deal. Tying all three of the trio down for the next few seasons needs to be a priority.

Losing any of them for nothing cannot be an option and losing them at all shouldn’t be necessary. Alexander-Arnold, as the youngest and the only one likely to have his best years still ahead of him, is arguably the most important to get sorted out.
