“Who Said That?” Steelers TJ Watt Realizes Brutal Reality His Season May Be Cut Short

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-2 through their first eight games with a mix of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson under center. While many anticipated that Pittsburgh would improve this season, not many had them beating out the Baltimore Ravens in their own division half way through the 2024 campaign.

TJ Watt has been a center piece not only for this defense, but this entire team. He has solidified himself as one of the best defenders in the entire league and plays like it on a weekly basis.

However, could there be a way that Watt isn’t able to suit up for every game this season?

A popular NFL account tweeted about why TJ Watt might not play in the Super Bowl next year, resulting in some backlash online:

The Steelers have done well so far this term and currently lead the AFC North with a 6-2 record. But it appears that MLFootball has already assumed they’ll be playing in the Super Bowl, as they noted that Watt might miss the big game because his wife is expecting to give birth in February.

“REPORT: #Steelers star T.J. Watt may not be able to play the Super Bowl because his wife is expecting their first child in February, according to CBS,” the account wrote.
Fans had a lot to say about the Steelers, especially given what the Chiefs are doing this season, when it comes to the Super Bowl

“Yeah, won’t be because his wife is giving birth,” one wrote.

“Who said that they’re making it to the super bowl,” a second added.

“I didn’t realize they made the Super Bowl already. Congrats to the AFC November champs, the Steelers!” joked a third.

“Is TJ Watt getting traded to the Chiefs?” someone asked.

“Good thing he doesn’t have to worry about his team playing then,” someone else wrote.
